Here is a holiday on our street! On January 30, a petition was registered on the Verkhovna Rada website calling for regulation of the use of marijuana in Ukraine. The initiator of such unprecedented changes was the acting. Suprun, within 24 hours, her idea had already received 1,867 signatures, which is 8% of the required number. According to the rules, the collection of signatures will last until April 30. The petition was signed by 16 public organizations and charitable foundations, which call for “legislative regulation of patient access to drugs based on natural cannabis for the treatment of chronic diseases and more; due to the impossibility of using marijuana as a medical remedy, cancer patients, war veterans and palliative patients suffer. Patient access to cannabis-based drugs is the realization of their right to medical care. In short, as always, there were a lot of words, but we will actually see how things will go with legalization in the near future. At least the fact that the petition was not “buried” right away is encouraging, and this gives hope for a positive outcome. If you think about it: who or what is so reluctant to bring marijuana out of the shadows? Who doesn’t want so badly for young people to jump off alcohol?
