The second honorable place in the ranking is occupied by Charles and David Koch, two sons of Fred Koch, who founded the company in 1940, from which forty years later the American corporation Koch Industries grew, which Bloomberg estimates at $98.7 billion. Third place with a figure of $89.7 billion is held by the heirs of Frank Mars, who founded the Mars confectionery company at the beginning of the 20th century, which over the years has become one of the largest players in the global sweets market. Mars Inc. Mars is still a completely family business. The following contenders are among the five richest families in the world: Three Belgian dynasties (van Damme, de Mevius and de Spelberch), who control the Anheuser-Busch InBev brewing company ($54.1 billion), and the Dumas family, which owns the Hermes fashion house ($49, 2 billion). The current head of Hermes, Axel Dumas, is a fifth-generation descendant of the company's founder, Thierry Hermé. So representatives of Asia finally got into this rating and the first participants were members of the Ambani family, who control the largest Indian holding Reliance Industries ($43.4 billion). The family has the seventh-largest fortune in the world, according to Bloomberg. The TOP 25 includes the Albrecht family (owns the Aldi supermarket chain, $38.8 billion), Auchan founder Gerard Mulier and his descendants ($37.5 billion), descendants of Samsung founder Lee Byung-chul ($30.9 billion), heirs of Estee Lauder ( $24.3 billion) and others.
