On the night of March 10-11, the 96th annual Oscar ceremony took place, where the best films of 2023 were named. This became known from the broadcast of the event.

This time, the host of the ceremony was again Jimmy Kimmel, well known to many viewers thanks to his evening show. The event was again held at the Dolby Theater.

The leader of this season in the number of awards was Christopher Nolan's film "Oppenheimer". The film won 8 awards, including such prestigious awards as “Best Film”, “Best Director” and “Best Actor”.

And Mstislav Chernov’s film “20 days in Mariupol” won in the “Best Documentary Film” category. This is the first victory of a Ukrainian film in the main world film award, which is presented by the American Academy of Motion Picture Sciences and Arts.
