According to The Independent, an island off the coast of Pembrokeshire in Wales (UK) is on sale for £400,000 - comparable to the price of a one-bedroom apartment in London. The entire territory of the island is occupied by a round three-story fortress, built in 1850 - 1852 to protect against the French invasion. The floors of the building are connected by spiral staircases. The fortress once had 16 guns weighing 18 tons each. The military garrison numbered 150 people. The journey to the mainland from the fortress takes only a few minutes by boat. Currently, the island is not suitable for habitation, but various projects can be implemented in the fortress, including for tourists: for example, building a cable car from the mainland, a hotel, etc. On the mainland not far from the island there are such tourist sites as the Pembrokeshire National Trail -Coast, deserted sandy beaches of Sandy Haven, Lindsay Bay, as well as Pembroke Castle 1093.
